Homeward Hounds

Placing homeless dogs into happy homes

Once a lonely wayward dog,
Bella's now happy, living high on the hog.
Some say homeless dogs can't be choosey,
But with a little help, Bella found sweet Lucy.

Adopt a Dog — Prevent a Tragedy!

Homeward Hounds is a non-profit organization that serves New Mexico's homeless dogs through rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing. We step in when there is no hope left, by rescuing dogs from death at animal facilities in New Mexico.

Rescued dogs are placed in foster homes while we find permanent and loving homes for these wonderful individuals who have a second chance at life. All dogs are vaccinated and neutered prior to being placed in their new homes. When time allows, our dogs are also house trained and taught basic obedience.

Homeward Hounds also provides a service to the community through education and raising awareness about the problems of overpopulation, the killing of thousands of unwanted healthy dogs and the importance of neutering.

Homeward Hounds is a project of Fur and Feather Animal Assistance, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization, tax identification number 43-2097102.
